October 7, 2017: Aliso Viejo Founder's Day Fair
The City of Aliso Viejo and the community sponsored the Aliso Viejo Founders Day Fair, which was held at the 7-acre historic Aliso Viejo Ranch. Aliso Viejo Police Services invited the Sheriff’s Museum to bring its vintage sheriff’s patrol car to display along with a sheriff’s Humvee.
The Moulton family became owners of the ranch in 1895, before ultimately selling the last 6,600 acres in the 1970s to the Mission Viejo Company for a master-planned development. The 7-acre Aliso Viejo Ranch, nestled across the street from Aliso Viejo Middle School, serves as the last remaining vestige of the former 22,000-acre Moulton Ranch. For one day, every fall since 2006, the rustic Ranch becomes a fair site for the community—boasting relics of the City's past blended with a celebration of who they are today. Founder’s Day is about coming together and embracing this inspired life in Aliso Viejo.
